Stephen Eggins

Chair

Stephen operates his own consultancy business on the Sunshine Coast specialising in conflict management. Prior to this he held senior management and executive management positions in State and Local Government.

Geoff Norman

Treasurer

Geoff is a local GP working in Nambour with a specific interest in general practice training having supervised young GPs in the RACGP training program for over 20 years. He has had a long, ongoing association with Cittamani with the aim of ensuring that the local Sunshine Coast community has access to excellence in palliative care.

Alex Moore

Board Member

Alex is a registered nurse with a longstanding interest in and involvement with home based palliative care. She was involved in the establishment of Karuna and Cittamani Hospice Services and was the Executive Director of Cittamani since its inception until her retirement in July 2023.

Elli Pratt

Board Member

Elli has a background in nursing and was involved in the establishment of Cittamani over 25 years ago. Since that time she has been involved in management of the organisation and in the training and management of Cittamani’s volunteers.

Alison Stevenson

Board Member

Alison has worked extensively in the community sector and has been associated with Cittamani since the inception of the Service. She has a personal connection and commitment to her ongoing support of the Service.

Jane Hutton

Board Member

Jane is a social worker specialising in narrative therapy practising on the Sunshine Coast. She also runs community workshops and lectures both within Australia and overseas. She provides supervision to a number of social workers on the Coast including the Cittamani counsellors

Christine Jones

Board Member

Christine is a lawyer with SJP Law in Maroochydore. She has over 25 years experience in legal practice and a long standing interest and involvement in supporting local community issues.

Matthew Cooper

Board Member

Matthew is a Palliative Care Specialist and Fellow of the Australiasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine. He is currently working with the Sunshine Coast Palliative Care Service as a senior medical officer for the Specialist Palliative Care Rural Telehealth Service.

Melanie Bruhn

Board Member

Melanie has had extensive experience in finance and business management. She joined the Cittamani team in 2020 as Operations Manager, overseeing the administrative, financial and business sector of our Service. Melanie was appointed as Executive Director in July 2023, after serving several years on the Cittamani Management Team.

Jill Spooner

Secretary

Jill is a lawyer with a background in private practice as well as senior management positions within State government. She has a particular interest in palliative care, and has been working in various positions in the management of Cittamani since 2008.
